Bowl for Kids Sake Results

Our 2017 Bowl for Kids Sake is all wrapped up! We are so lucky to have completed another successful year! See who topped the charts this year.

The success of the 33rd Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids Sake event keeps rolling for the local organization of Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.

After raising over $40,500 at their “Canada’s 150 Years” themed bowling events sponsored by Tim Hortons in May at Sammy Krenshaw’s and Ingersoll Lanes. The money raised at these events goes towards ensuring to provide every child with a role model, in order to create positive experiences and develop the community’s youth.

Although every participant played an important role at this event, some have been recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters for their extra effort and achievement. The Top Adult Fundraisers for the event were Elizabeth Brekelmans of Big Brothers Big Sisters with $2,400, Simon Wild of Auto Warehousing Co. with $1,625, and Lisa Barnim of Big Brothers Big Sisters with $925.

     Smaller Easy 101 Country 107.3  Big Brothers Big Sisters Ingersoll Tillsonburg Top Business Team

The Top Youth Fundraiser titles were awarded to Sterling Roberts of Nerium with $1,006, Carson Porter previouslt from Laurie Hawkins PS who came out on his own, raising $475, and Caden Montgomery of Big Brothers Big Sisters who raised $357.

Money aside, the team who showed the most Canadian spirit in their costumes, winning them the Best Dressed Team title was Salford Group Inc. with individuals Matt &Susan Chris taking home the best dressed individuals award.

Finally, the overall top fundraising teams were as follows:

For the Industry Sector, Auto Warehousing Co., raising $2070. The Business Sector saw the Easy 101/Country 107.3 radio team taking the title, with $937. The team of St. James BAC raised $1215 to win the Organization Group Sector, and the Family and Friends Sector was topped by the Mary Smith Family, with $1005.

This event could not have been a success without the generosity of the communities involved. Join in the festivities next year, as Big Brothers Big Sisters celebrates their “Monster Bash” themed event in May 2018. Congratulations to all of the exceptional winners, and we hope to see you next year!
